"Sharing What We Have Learned With New Generations" |
Return to "Giving Back To The Community"
Hands on learning is an integral part of our teaching method. We have developed various devices that make learning abstract concepts as easy as they are fun. In our “5 ways to generate electricity” unit, students make batteries
from lemons that power flashlights, radios and an electric fan.
We learn how power companies use magnets and solar energy to power our homes and how a microphone works. We use fire to generate electricity and create miniature lightning bolts from quartz crystals. We introduce students to radio by having
them transmit their voices over a light beam to a receiver across the room. |
